Installation

The installation of RichTextEditor for Joomla plugin is very easy:

  1. Install the plugin

    Log into the Administration section of your Joomla! site and click the 'Extensions -> Install/Uninstall' menu item to access the Extension Manager. Select the downloaded RichTextEditor installation package(com_richtexteditor_3.0.zip) from your disk and click the "Upload File & Install" button.   2. Set RichTextEditor as the default editor

    The editor needs to be set as the Default WYSIWYG Editor in the Joomla! Configuration.
    1. Select the 'Site -> Global Configuration' menu item.
    2. Set 'Default Editor' to 'Editor - RichTextEditor'.
    3. Click 'Save'.

  3. Configure the RichTextEditor component

    Simply go to 'Components -> richtexteditor'. Take a look at all available configuration options and change them to suit your needs (for example adjust the skin).
